Here is one of my interview experience at Geometric. They had invited candidates from many streams of Engineering to work on software development.
The test consisted of
1. Aptitude test - 40 questions to be solved in 15 minutes.
2. Technical aptitude test - 20 questions to be solved in 30 minutes.
3. Essay writing - 15 mins.
4. Technical + HR Interview
Aptitude test had questions from Series, Time and distance, Odd one out, Trains, Numbers etc. topics.
My essay writing topic was - Role of software industry in growth of India. My suggestion is that you should listen to a lot of news channels and read newspapers to face the GDs and essay writing sessions.
They conducted the HR and technical interview together.
Some questions I face were:
1. Your introduction.
2. Why do you want to get into software industry?
3. Why Geometric?
4. Why should you be hired?
5. What qualities would you look for in a person, if you were hiring for this position?
6. Expected Salary.
7. Any questions for us.
